(ie, how do you prevent smearing?) Are you just super careful? Or do you apply/intensify white highlights with another medium (white pastel? dunno) AFTER the charcoal has been laid down? Thanks <3
To get highlights, I use a gum eraser. I use pastel sometimes when I have used watercolor first. Each piece is different and each piece requires a different combination of tasks, for myself anyway. That’s the fun of it though, isn’t it?? :)
